Job Description

A head journalist / presenter is required for a new daily webcast, working alongside our sponsors, production team and general public you will be responsible for the research, preparation, interviews and final presentation to camera of our reports. Our broadcasts will have a fresh and vibrant nature and as such would suit outgoing personalities especially recent media graduates with a flair and passion to create a reputation for themselves in a new and exciting arena. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the reporter / presenter team and as such be able to provide evidence of previous management / team leading previous experience. This position involves extensive computer use and as such requires applicants to be fully computer literate with the ability to quickly learn new applications.

Qualifications/Skills Required

You will need experience of:
• Preparation and writing of articles and reports
• Recording interviews and set pieces
• Using a PC with Microsoft office applications
• Monitoring newswires and contacts for relevant stories.
• Presenting in different syles to reflect the sponsors and audience
• Working with corporate clients and the general public
• Team motivation and management

The main responsibilities are:
• Working with our sponsors to arrange, research, prepare and record reports
• Working with the general public, generating interest in broadcasts and sponsors
• Setting up, preparing and presenting news / local information and topical reports
• Preparing and finalising broadcast with our production team
• Presenting and interviewing on camera.
• Managing the reporter / presenter team.

Based from offices in Warrington, Cheshire, the role will require daily travel and as such requires the applicant to have their own vehicle and clean driving licence. We operate a 39 hour working week with availability required Monday through to Saturday including occasional evening / night reporting.
