Job Description

An established aggregate company is looking for a Transport Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. The role is essentially taking day to day responsibility for the supervision of 7 LGV/HGV technicians and deputising for Manager on holiday cover and reporting to the Manager. This is a busy workshop carrying out all service, repair and some fabrication of the fleet of 4-wheel, 6-wheel & 8-wheel Tippers, Artics, Mixers and Crane trucks, vans, transits and 7.5 tonne roadrunners. The company has a fully equipped workshop premises. The ideal candidate will need to be motivated and be able to motivate and organise others, they must have a good basis of workshop health and safety knowledge and a willingness to undertake further training as necessary. You must be able to communicate and liaise effectively with both colleagues and managers and be an experienced LGV and HGV Fitter with a current HGV licence. You will ideally have health and safety certification, such as IOSH Managing Safely and knowledge of vehicle electrical systems. This position offers an attractive salary comprising a basic salary, supervisor bonus and guaranteed overtime. There are also stand-by and call out rates as necessary. Alternate Saturday mornings will also need to be worked.
