Job Description
This leading Local Authority was established in its current form in 1974 following a merger of the city council with neighbouring urban district councils and now exists as the second largest metropolitan Local Authority in England, covering an area of 552 square kilometres.

Highways Clerk of Works to register for forthcoming requirements within a West Yorkshire Local Authority. You will be required to work on a series of Highway contracts within the area. The position requires you to supervise contractors and therefore you will be required to work outside office working hours.
Qualifications/Skills Required
A Clerk of Works, you will need to have significant experience on Road and Bridgework schemes and be fully conversant with the standards of the DfT Specification for Highways Works. You will need to be able to read and understand working drawings and have the relevant site safety knowledge. Contact with public and senior members of staff is expected at all times therefore smart appearance is essential as is a valid driving licence.
