All levels of Highways Design Engineers are required to register for anticipated assistance with a large programme of works covering a range of Highways and Infrastructure projects. Levels of Engineer required range from designing and preparing contracts to checking them in line with the ICE conditions of contract. You will be using a range of software including AutoCAD, Infrasoft MX and Keys Terra-Firma. You will also be required to prepare estimates and Bills of Quantities.
Qualifications/Skills Required
A Highways Design Engineer you will have a minimum of 3 years recent experience, with a minimum of 7 years required for the more senior appointment of Group Engineer. You should therefore be confident with current design standards and CDM Regulations. You will have a HNC or higher in Civil Engineering and be confident in the use of various design packages including AutoCAD and Infrasoft MX. As you will be working within a Local Authority, experience of this environment would also be an advantage.
