Our clients Highways and Bridge Design Team is split across 2 offices in the East Midlands. The Highways Team is based in Nottingham and the Bridge Team in Derby. Derby also has a lighting team.

As a Highways Engineer in this team you will be given a high level of responsibility and you will be involved in the preparation of reports, design specifications and contract documents. You will also assist in managing budgets and work programmes.
Making full use of your technical skills you will work in support of the Project Leader in helping to manage the team and to ensure adherence to technical standards and design briefs.

Qualifications/Skills Required
Candidates for this role will be able to demonstrate a solid background in highways design, drainage experience would be an advantage but is not absolutely essential.
Previous experience of working with the HA and design to DMRB standards is preferred and you will need to have an appreciation of Health and Safety legislation, particularly the CDM regulations.
You will have a good understanding of design packages such as AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, MX and AutoSign and you will be confident in taking on the responsibility that this role offers.
Keen to develop your career and skills in project management you will be seeking an opportunity to progress quickly. It is important that you are working towards IEng / CEng if you have not already achieved professional accreditation.
A full UK driving licence is required.
