A Highways Team Leader is required to join the team in Leeds and take on responsibility for co-ordinating highways design schemes. Reporting to an Associate Director your main responsibilities will involve acting as a main point of contact with your client and undertaking business development activities and financial and resource monitoring for the group. You will assume full project management responsibility including technical, financial and resource issues and will oversee the completion of necessary technical reports and feasibility studies.
As a Highways Team Leader you will provide guidance to technicians, graduates and recently chartered engineers in the design of alignments, drainage, pavement and associated highways works. It will be your responsibility to produce, approve and issue specifications, drawings and contract documents based on HA or local authority standards.
Qualifications/Skills Required
The role of Highways Team Leader requires a professionally qualified Engineer (CEng / IEng) with extensive experience in a broad range of highways design schemes, in particular large scale projects. The successful candidate for this role will be technically sound, capable of leading a team and comfortable managing a wide portfolio of highways design schemes.
You are likely to have had previous experience managing the financial aspect of projects and will be totally client focused in your approach to engineering.
