Job Description

Assessing Homeless Applicants
Assessing and Investigating Cases under Homelessness(sec 175/177) Eligibility, Priority need, Local Connection and Intentionally
Provide temporary accommodation where applicable
Issuing section 184 decisions once cases are fully investigated
Liasing with various agencies in order to carry out investigations
Local authority in North East requires a Homelessness Officer for an ongoing role. The client is looking for somebody with solid knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 part 7 - to interview homeless applicants, assess the homelessness status of the applicants using the Homelessness Act 2002, gather evidence surrounding the client's situation and to also undertake some mediation and preventative. Situated in a picturesque location, you will be working with friendly team in a excellent working environment.
