Senior Housing Options Team Leader

1. Main Purpose of Job

· To manage the Housing Options Team ensuring the delivery of a comprehensive housing advisory and advocacy service to the public on housing needs and homelessness issues.

· To market, manage and develop the Housing Options Service in order to achieve its strategic and operational objectives, in partnership with local housing providers, key agencies and other stakeholders.

· To co-ordinate the delivery of services provided by the Housing Options Team ensuring that performance is monitored closely in relation to targets and performance indicators. .

· To develop and promote a range of housing options which facilitate a preventative rather than reactive approach towards homelessness.

· To identify housing trends and issues impacting on homelessness to inform the development of the Homelessness Strategy and identify measures required to prevent homelessness.
