DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Selection
• To co-ordinate and support Line Managers in all aspects of the recruitment and selection process of international and London Head Office staff, in liaison with other Head Office departments and field teams.
• To advise other departments and the field sites in the development of clear job descriptions and person specifications for all vacancies.
• To keep updated with relevant new recruitment sources
• To organise and participate in recruitment marketing activities, in the UK and Europe. This includes making presentations to groups of potential overseas staff, raising awareness about Merlin and informing about overseas opportunities.
• To maintain and develop good relationships with similar organizations and have ongoing dialogues concerning policies and trends in the sector.
• To coach field managers on issues related to recruitment and selection.
Employee Relations
• To advise Line Managers, facilitate and participate in employee relations issues relating to areas such as performance, capability, discipline and absence in accordance with Employment Law and best practice
• To lead on specific projects as directed by the HR Director, eg pay reviews, policy and procedure reviews
• To provide advice and coaching on the management of all staff to ensure it is carried out within the charitiy's policies and employment law.
• To maintain regular contact with field workers throughout all stages of their assignment.
• To liaise with the relatives of overseas staff in cases of emergency and at other times as required.

Qualifications/Skills Required
Min 3 yrs exp in recruitment and/or generalist personnel role
