Your role will be to produce drainage and highways designs in line with relevant approval standards, working on a multi-project portfolio and assuming project management responsibilities on schemes up to £20,000 in value.
Working in a multi-disciplinary team you will be involved in carrying out sewer investigations and then producing appropriate design solutions. You will liaise with relevant approving bodies to ensure compliance and you will assist in managing junior staff.
Qualifications/Skills Required
To carry out this role it is essential that you are familiar with relevant adoption procedures and you must be a competent highways and drainage design engineer. You will need to have experience of private and non-adoptable drainage design and be fully conversant with the principles and practice of Sustainable Urban Drainage initiatives.
You will need to be able to produce full highway designs to adoptable standards including vertical and horizontal layouts, and construction details and should be familiar with the DMRB.
It is important that you can work well to tight deadlines and you should have a value driven approach to producing design packages.
