MSB Supply Chain a specialist purchasing recruitment has a position for that of a Junior buyer for a company that offers excellent career progression and exciting challenges.
The post-holder will provide support to the Purchasing Managers / Senior Buyers. Principle responsibilities will include purchase order placement, product pricing, claim procedures and reconciliation of invoices as well as support for all aspects of stock management for our storage distribution business.
The storage distribution purchasing team handles purchases of hardware and software from the likes of IBM, HP, SUN, STK, NETAPP, VERITAS, JUNIPER, NORTEL amongst others in excess of £150M per year.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and experience:
§ Honest, hardworking, self motivated, reliable and diligent
§ Excellent administration skills
§ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external contacts at all levels
§ Able to work as part of a team or on their own initiative
§ Literate, numerate and confident in Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office Tools
§ Ability to pay close attention to detail
§ Preferably with experience within a Purchasing Department
HOURS OF WORK
The company's standard hours of work are 9.00am – 5.30pm with one hour for lunch.
