Job Description

Our client is looking for a Lead Transmission Design Engineer to maintain all transmission specifications for a large project, develop and own the delivery plan, define the overall approval processes and act as final approver for all technical designs.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the transmission design is completed and implemented to the necessary standards and that the work is conducted both safely and meeting the quality standards necessary together with managing the relationship with the equipment supplier.

You will be responsible managing and mentoring a team of approximately 14 transmission design engineers.

You will need to have extensive knowledge of SDH/PDH or DCN transmission systems
Have at least 5 years telecommunications experience.

Ideally have has some exposure to the mainline railway industry standards and practices.
