Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Marketing & Events Officer . This role will involve taking responsibility for our clients corporate events as well as managing some of their marketing projects. Events range from client dinners, 24 hours workshops, and visiting groups through to taking part in international exhibitions and conferences.
The marketing communications group supports the company?s marketing activities through the UK, continental Europe and the rest of the world. The group is responsible for:
Creating awareness of our clients brand and generating business leads through a programme of press and public relations, advertising, web presence, direct mail, exhibitions, visits, presentations and other activities
Creating and producing a range of promotional material and literature
Advising and helping technical personnel on the best way to market their skills and experience
Specific responsibilities:
* To develop, manage and deliver high quality events that help promote us to key markets in a highly professional light.
* To take responsibility for all of event activity, starting with the initial brief from internal clients and preparing project plans, right through to the seamless execution of each event.
* To work effectively as part of an overall marketing team in order to deliver a complete event package. This includes areas such as graphic design, database, administration, PR, and the web site.
* On larger in-house events, to take responsibility for organising and managing a team of people from across the company, liaising with seniors to generate their support and buy in, as well as presenting a professional point-of-contact with clients on the phone, via email or face-to-face.
* To ensure all equipment is delivered to the appropriate venue, that staff manning each event knows what is expected, and that all paperwork is complete and in order.
* To work with external conference organisers, building relationships and increasing their knowledge of our core skills to help secure speaker slots at industry events
Where appropriate, to take responsibility for completing Health & Safety reports and documentation.
* To work with the Marketing Communications Manager on a diverse range of marketing projects as and when they arise.
Minimum requirements:
1-2 years experience of events management
Strong project management skills
A creative flair
Ability to communicate and persuade across all levels
Highly organised and efficient, and calm under pressure
Computer literacy - good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Experience of working in a marketing department
Salary £Depending on experience
