An M&E Contractor based in West Yorkshire which has been serving the refrigeration and air-conditioning industries for over 50 years. Throughout that period the principal objective of the company has been to provide a first class service in design, installation and after sales support - thereby maximising the likelihood of customer loyalty.
As a result of its success in this respect the company has grown from serving small outlets in the Blackpool area to its present position of serving nationally a wide variety of companies including many with household names. The company and its management will continue to concentrate on the quality of the service it provides through ongoing staff training, maintaining the freedom to recommend and supply the most suitable equipment irrespective of the manufacturer, the continued expansion of its service department and by the increased use of information technology.
The vacancy for a Mechanical Contracts Engineer has become available due to a recent leaver within this contractor. The role is responsible for providing support to the Contracts Manager by ensuring the implementation of heating and ventilation systems, as well as air-conditioning and refrigeration systems are being done according to schedule and plan.
The Contracts Engineer is required to supervise teams of installation engineers that are on the building site, implementing the design plans for HVAC systems. Working closely with your Contracts Manager, it will be your duty to report of any alterations that effect the running of the contract and liaise with your client to keep them informed at all times.
Contracts are likely to involve office blocks, retail outlets and hotels, usually in the value of £500k /
Qualifications/Skills Required
Applications are invited from Building Services Mechanical Engineers that have worked on the installation of heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
Due to the company working on commercial, retail and leisure projects, it would be beneficial that your previous project experience has been focused on the installation of mechanical systems within these environments.
As a large part of your role will include liaising with both your Contracts Manager and your main client, you will need to provide evidence of completing these duties in the past in either a Project or Contracts Engineer position.
