This company is a Mechanical Building Services Contractor based in West Yorkshire. They provide services across many types of sectors such as healthcare, Education, Commercial, Residential and Leisure. Focusing on design and mechanical installation the company has steadily increased in size and turnover in the last 8 years. Having repeat work from existing clients provides a healthy outlook for this company which has been in business for 23 years.

This Mechanical Building Services Contractor based in Leeds is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a permanent basis.

The work will revolve around healthcare, residential, education and commercial contracts from existing clients. As most of this company's work is kept 'in house' you will be responsible for every aspect of the design process. You will be working in an office working with a small but focused team of experienced, knowledgeable people.

You will work closely with your design team to ensure that you are meeting your clients demands.

Qualifications/Skills Required

A strong knowledge of Mechanical (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) design within the Building Services industry is essential. This will have been ideally gained whilst working for an M&E Contractor in a similar role. A good working knowledge of design packages in this industry is also important.

If your mechanical background has been within a design consultancy, you will need to show the ability to transfer your skills in to a contracting environment. This essentially means the ability to move from creating concept drawings to being able to create practical design schemes that are ready to be implemented.

You will have gained a relevant qualification, such as an HNC in Building Services, which will be complimented by your work experience to date.
