This company designs, installs, maintains and operates building engineering services for diverse clientele, in many different locations.
They offer comprehensive integrated solutions, showing a full understanding of all traditional and new forms of construction procurement methods. These include PFI, Prime Contracting, Framework, Strategic Alliances and Partnerships.
They possess extensive capabilities in the management and delivery of complex building technologies, from single to multiple sites, and
for short and long term durations.
A recently opened office within this large nationwide building services contractor are looking to recruit a permanent Quantity Surveyor. The work is currently being completed by freelance contract staff, however this contractor are looking to secure a permanent candidate.
The responsibility of this Quantity Surveyor will be to provide bills of quantities on potential projects and to monitor the financial overview of projects along with other members of the Commercial Team. The bills of quantities will consist of materials, labour and equipment needed to complete the mechanical and electrical installations on site. These will be every system associated with heating, ventilation and air conditioning, lighting, security and power distribution.
They will also have responsibility over procurement, assessment and appointment of various sub-contractors.
Qualifications/Skills Required
The ideal candidate will be well experienced in quantity surveying and have come from a building services contracting background previously.
This contractor do however appreciate the skill shortage at present and are willing to look at experienced Estimators that may be looking for a move into quantity surveying.
A good knowledge of building services, both mechanical and electrical is required, and the systems associated with this industry.
They are predominantly looking for an experienced candidate within the building services industry and a motivated and career minded individual.
