Job Description
Headquartered in the UK, this company provides a total lifecycle of care for a facility. They design, build, install and maintain sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems, and offer integrated facilities management to businesses in virtually every economic sector throughout the UK.
Servicing over 1 billion square feet, they are a leader in facilities management services. Their innovative approach reduces costs, while enabling effective management of key employees, increased vendor rationalisation, efficient information management, and greater service assurance.
All of their services are backed by over 100 years of experience, whilst their Integrated Management Systems, certified to ISO 9001-2000, ensure full compliance with building, health and safety regulations, as well as with sound environmental and energy management procedures.
The role of Project Engineer within this small branch of a large M&E Contractor will also include elements of Project Management. This indicates that you will have a large amount of responsibility in terms of the projects itself and the people who will work for you.
You will be in charge of all mechanical installations on a wide variety of projects. One major contract that has recently been secured is a college in West Yorkshire. The company also cover major retail, commercial and industrial buildings, so your skills will cover the installation of all heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems within these buildings.
Qualifications/Skills Required
You will specialise in mechanical engineering within a building services background, meaning that you are an accomplished engineer in all installations to do with heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
Your experience will have preferably been gained within a large M&E Contractor, which will have developed your ability to handle multi-million pound contracts, from conception through to completion.
You will be experienced and have the ability to hit the ground running on projects. As mentioned above, this is not a pure engineering role, as there are also elements of Project Management, so you must be capable of organising and leading an expert team on large scale projects.
You may have design experience, as you will be working and interpreting plans in what will be a pure installation role.
