Job Description

A heating, ventilation and air conditioning contractor currently with over 2,500 sites with planned maintenance contracts with small independent local organisations and major national blue chip companies.

To support their installation teams they have dedicated a nationwide after sales service department which compliments their existing project services.

They aim to provide a fast reactive response for emergency callouts and breakdowns, employing service engineers that live local to the area they serve, therefore saving travelling time costs and speeding up their response.

An opportunity has arisen within the technical services division of this heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration building services contractor.

The role will be mainly in the leisure sector of the building services industry. You will be providing expertise to ensure the mechanical aspects of the maintenance contracts held by this contractor are dealt with efficiently and on time to both the customer's satisfaction and the company's standards.

The responsibilities which the role covers will include the service and repair of air conditioning, refrigeration, boiler, hot water and heating systems. The environments that you will be operating within are mainly hotel chains so you will be in a client facing role on a daily basis.

Qualifications/Skills Required

The client is looking for experienced candidates that have performed this role previously and that are capable of entering a new environment and 'hitting the ground running'.

You will have gained relevant City and Guilds qualifications in air conditioning and refrigeration as well as being educated to a minimum of ONC in a similar field. These qualifications will be accompanied by your practical experience in mechanical building services maintenance.

The role will require the candidate to be flexible in regards to time and be available for call-outs, as and when is needed. You will be required to travel throughout the Edinburgh area and will be provided with a vehicle for this.
