With over 50 staff in their Highways Team in Leeds they are one of the largest in the region and they are currently engaged on a number of large scale, technically demanding projects. They have recently begun to develop an ITS / Telecomms Team in Leeds and are now looking for people to join and help develop this extremely busy and growing area of their business.
In Leeds the company has far outstripped its ambitious growth targets and have quickly established themselves as a premier, multi-disciplinary design consultancy. They are now looking to mirror this growth within their ITS / Telecomms business.
Current projects include:
- Forth Bridge - £4.63bn total scheme cost
- M25 - Comms upgrade
- A282 – Total Comms upgrade
- M60 / M56 Active Traffic Management scheme

A design focused role working on NMCS (National Motorway Communications Systems) projects in support of a project manager. Your project portfolio will be as diverse as you could hope for.
Your role will be a technical design position requiring you to provide design packages within agreed timescales and budgetary constraints, utilising design software including AutoCAD and Cable Calc. You can expect to work on a multi-project portfolio largely being delivered for the Highways Agency and you will be required to produce viable design solutions and all relevant report documentation.
You will be encouraged to develop your technical skills and will receive full training in all relevant procedures.
Qualifications/Skills Required
This is a key appointment in the team and requires an individual with a positive, hard-working attitude who is keen to be a part of our clients future business development.
Applications are welcome from suitably qualified Electrical Engineers (HNC / HND / Degree) who have the confidence to take on this challenging role and are comfortable working under pressure.
Ideally you will have previous experience of delivering telecommunications projects for the HA but applications are also welcome from those with an electrical / electronics background who are interested in this sector.
You will need to be CAD literate and hold a full UK driving licence as you will be required to visit a variety of sites.
