Function of Role
Applicant will be able to provide specific expertise covering the network and server related infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Primarily to provide technical expertise in the following areas:

1)Network support.
Installation and configuration of network devices.
2)Network Security analysis and configuration.
3)Network throughput analysis: bandwidth modelling and optimisation.
4)Server support. Installation and configuration of servers.
5)Provide relevant documentation and knowledge transfer.
Key Deliverables
1)Pro-actively assist in delivering the above mentioned tasks to the required deadlines.
2)Ensure that the designs and configurations are documented and provide relevant knowledge transfer.

Qualifications/Skills Required

Skills & Experience
1.Strong hands on network design skills. Full understanding of Private/Public IP addressing, NAT, dynamic NAT, VLANs, Routing, VRRP, HSRP.
2.Strong Network appliance configuration: Nortel Alteon Load Balancers, Cisco Routers and Switches, Nokia Firewalls running Checkpoint.
3.Strong security and network analysis: Access lists on routers, configuration of VIPs on Alteons, configuration of Checkpoint rule base.
4.Server installation and configuration: HP Proliant Server, HP Proliant Clusters.
5.Software installation and configuration: Windows 2003 Server, Linux Redhat Enterprise 4, Microsoft cluster services, Microsoft Media Services, Real Helix Server, MySQL, IIS, Apache, PostgreSQL, Linux GFS/LVS Clustering services.
