A high calibre Network Synchronisation Engineer is required to take responsibility for the definition, analysis and optimization of the timing and synchronization functional element in a high performance satellite communications system.You will do manual and computer aided mathematical modelling methods for synchronization analysis.Develop implementation strategies.Supply validation test harness definition. Assist implementation teams to realize the function.Assist the team in broader aspects to develop the final product, including project planning activities.You should have relevant design and development experience possibly gained form Mil Satcom, radar, ESM, GSM or 3G or equivalent field. Microsoft Office tools Mathematical modeling tools Matlab / Simulink or similar.Familiarity with signal recovery, coding, framing, interleaving, channel multiple access techniques.Experience with realisation of designs in LSI / computer based hardware. Tele or radiocommunications networking knowledge.Experience with Miltary Satcom / radar /ESM engineering will be an advantage.Systems development experience.Performance validation.Broader lower level protocol mod / demodulation processes, detection theory experience Telelogic Doors, Clearcase / Clearquest. Good Honours Degree in Engineering/Physics/Mathematics. Higher degree preferred.
