Job Description

A global manufacturing company based in Coventry are currently seeking a skilled Parts Buyer. The successful candidate will join the successful purchasing divisions and be part of the team to assist in cost reduction, sourcing and development. The main responsibilities will be:

- Manage existing supplier relationships.
- Sourcing new suppliers
- Purchasing of raw materials, e.g. glass, plastics, other raw components
- Interface with engineering division
- Implementing purchasing procedures

The successful candidate will therefore have at least 3 years purchasing experience working within an engineering/manufacturing company, be a self-starter, confident in dealing with various international suppliers and be pro-active in striving for results. Strong negotiation skills are a must as are strong interpersonal skills to establish effective supplier working relationships both internally and with external suppliers.
