Job Description

Permit Manager
Reporting to MD and based from the Docklands for a high profile investment bank.
Responsibilities
Running a Permit office during a partial fit-out of an operational building
Operating the web-based e-permits software
Receiving permit requests from contractors
Authorised person to assess and Approve or Reject Access permits
Liaising with client when clashes arise
Advising client when Health & Safety issues arise
Attending and contribute to client Project meetings
Issuing permits and checking that safety precautions are in place
Policing tasks to check compliance with permit requirements
Stopping work that is unsafe
Closing permits at the end of tasks
Logging non-compliances by contractors
Generating reports for the client and company
Filing of all documentation to prescribed regime
Maintaining and updating e-permit databases
Training users as and when required
Assisting with technical queries and correcting User errors
Informing company about relevant issues
Other duties as necessary to ensure successful operation on e-permits

Requirements
Extensive experience running a busy Permit office
Broad building services expertise
IOSH qualified
Computer literate and regular web-user
Good inter-personal skills
Training Training will be provided in the operation of e-permits software
Basis Permanent
Hours Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00

Qualifications/Skills Required

Health & Safety, IOSH, Managing Permit to Work
