Planning Consultant
Planning Consultant with Waste Experience
3 month temporary contract with a view to becoming a permanent position
>£50k pro-rata (subject to experience)
Leading Regional Consultancy – Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

An energetic and innovative planner is required for this exciting position working solely on one of our client’s major accounts, handling all aspects of planning appeals, applications and feasibility studies.

The Position
Our client is a regional property services group that provides companies with advice and solutions and over a wide range of commercial sectors. Their team helps clients create realistic, integrated and effective planning solutions. They currently require a Planner, preferably with waste management experience to join their Suffolk based team.

Working with a National Waste Management client, you will provide planning advice for waste and recycling facilities as well as securing planning permissions for development projects. The successful candidate will also be responsible for planning applications with local authorities and managing planning appeals.

Applicants must have an RTPI accredited planning degree and be able to demonstrate a detailed understanding in UK planning and planning policy regarding waste management and mineral planning. A good understanding of environmental impact assessment is required along with excellent client liaison skills.
