Job Description
A leading organisation is seeking a principal engineer for its Wales office. The successful candidate will hold a degree in Engineering, Geology, Ground Engineering, Engineering Geology or similar with at least 5 years post chartership preferably at CEng level.
The successful candidate will have experience in the design, procurement, supervision and management of SI investigations coupled with experience of preparing interpretative reports for Geotechnical purposes including interpretation of data and the identification of options for ground improvement, treatment and foundations.
Demonstrable technical knowledge/ experience of difficult ground conditions with an emphasis on brownfield and soft ground conditions is required. Experience of shallow mining and karstic ground coupled with knowledge of contaminated ground would be advantageous.
Experience of managing less experienced staff is required and client liaison and business development skills are essential.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Degree in Engineering/Geology/Ground Engineering/Engineering Geology/similar
- 5 years post chartership
- Experience in the design, procurement, supervision & management of SI investigations & preparing interpretative reports
