Job Description

Principal/Senior Ecologist
This Principal/Senior role requires a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience and is aimed at leading the ecological team and diversifying the client base of our Hemel Hempstead EIA/ecology team.

The post holder would manage the existing ecological staff (currently numbering two consultants), provide high level technical advice to clients, manage large ecological projects and survey programmes and technically review reports.

The post-holder would be expected to help grow the ecological capacity of the team through training, recruitment and the establishment of an accredited network of ecological sub-consultants.

Experience of housing, energy or infrastructure projects would be advantageous.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate a track record in managing ecological projects and staff and high level of technical competence, including the holding of protected species’ licences.
