Job Description
To provide Purchasing Support comprising: To prepare and issue competitive invitiations to tender, where appropriate and to obtain quotations for the supply of equipment, materials and services To propose modifications to standard conditions of contract where necessary to meet particular circumstances To check that technical specifications are complimentary to the conditions of contract, analyse, evaluate and produce tender evaluation report with recommendations to purchase Negotiating all commercial and legal terms and conditions (e.g. prices, Ts & Cs and delivery programme) Manage resulting orders and Agreements through to completion including expediting, supplier management, issue variations etc Liaise with Project Management and other Sales and Support Staff To enhance the reputation of the Purchasing Function at all levels internally and externally Prepare contractual documentation etc ready for signature by nominated employees Ensure that supplier selection is carried out in line with company policies and with all due diligence Required Skills and Experience Any individual used to provide this service are expected to have the following skills and experience Customer focus and flexibility Excellent communications and influencing skills Strong team player capable of working without supervision 2+ years in a commercial environment with the telecoms/IT sector Sound understanding of contract law and commercial terms and conditions of contract Sound negotiating skills
