With their Head Office base in West Yorkshire they have been producing turbos since the 1960's and have manufacturing plants across the world.
This manufacturer achieves sales figures of around £13billion per year for the group as a whole and employs 38,000 people worldwide making it a true powerhouse in the manufacturing industry.
This company currently has a vacancy for a Product Quality Program Manager to be based at it's head offices in Huddersfield.
This role will be to manage Product Quality projects for a given product range. You will also be responsible for recommending improvements to Product Quality process whilst sharing best practices with other program managers and leaders.
You will be required to lead a cross-functional and sometimes international team with a minimum of direct management. Your emphasis will be on the management of internal processes and direct linkages with customer expectations
Your key responsibilities will be to work within product quality process, hold your team accountable to roles and responsibilities for each functional area. You will be responsible for ensuring integration with plant manufacturing, global engineering and plant quality during product quality process.
Other responsibilities will include:
Heading the decision making process, set pace, encourage input, deal with conflict and ambiguity.
Working with product/account team leaders to ensure right processes are in place to meet customer needs fully and quickly.
Tracking measures and report progress against them.
Qualifications/Skills Required
This global manufacturer is ideally seeking an extensively experienced Product Quality Program Manager from the automotive sector of the manufacturing industry who is degree qualified in their respective discipline.
If you have gained project management experience then this would be beneficial but not essential.
You should be capable of eliminating barriers to team progress within/outside your team and dealing with any personnel issues that arise within your department.
Knowledge of the automotive industry is essential. You should be experienced in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and be comfortable when applying the principles applied associated with this process.
