Job Description
ROLE - Project/General Manager - reporting to European VP of Repair Services - to project manage the start-up of a 200+ person electronics product repair site in Pilzen (including creating the right balance of Czech and US multinational culture to ensure the long-term success of this highly customer-focused operation) with the support of corporate functional/specialist managers, sub-contractors, new employees, etc. This will include
building construction - in process
building fit-out
equipment installation and commissioning
creating facilities and maintenance dept, procedures, and schedules
establish values, standards, and codes of conduct that are an extension of corporate philosophies, but also compliment Czech laws and best-practises
create the basis of an excellent employee communication/participation model for the site
ensuring that the corporations Lean and Sigma best-practise tools, and trained and coached in to the organisation from day one
staffing/organisation development strategies and plans - bought into by regional management
ensure appreciation of competitive C&B strategies, and hence recruitment guidelines
recruitment, induction, and training of new starts
best-in-class training programs
training/coaching to support a promote-from-within culture
implement corporate provided equipment/tools/systems to facilitate the smooth growth of the facility - must compliment Czech laws and best-practises
IT, data-com, and telecom infrastructure

create a customer, results, and commit-focused culture, by education managers and teams on the importance of aggressive commitments, and management through KPIs
manage the introduction of new customers/products in a smooth, seamless manner, by focussing on the main customer KPIs of quality, cycle time, and cost
establish budgets for each function, and monitor performance to ensure break-even and cash flow goals are achieved
Qualifications/Skills Required

10 - Fluent written/verbal English and Czech a must

10 - Experienced start-up Project/General Manager, who has had executive responsibility for full start-up - building, capital, people, customer, compliance
10 - Operations/General Management experience within a complex multinational manufacturing environment - ideally electronics manufacturing/repair
10 - Proven project management experience, and ideally appreciation of best-practise project management tools
10 - Emotional intellect - ability to perform multiple tasks in a complex, sometimes ambiguous, operating environment.

9 - Previous CEM sector experience, with strong global business sense, cost reduction, productivity improvement, quality mgt specific in high volume technology products
9 - Team player, networker, with strong listening, communication and Influencing skills
9 - Proficient in IT, including word processing, spreadsheets and ERP applications.
8 - Degree in Engineering or related business topic, with an MBA a distinct advantage
