Job Description

Project Manager
It is fair to say that this is a unique organisation in many ways; they describe themselves as being a disorganised workers cooperative, they are described by others as one of the premier design consultancies in the world and by their staff as a great place to work.

With over 70 offices in 32 countries and over 7000 members of staff they have a truly international presence operating in all fields of construction design including city centre master planning, highways, bridges, geotechnical, geoenvironmental, rail and building services.

This particular part of the company focuses on providing energy and utility solutions at the very start of schemes by working with end users, Architects and Project Managers to develop the strategy for the building and model how it will integrate with its surrounding area.

The Project Manager role could almost be described as a Business Manager post and will put you at the forefront of high profile schemes within the local region and further afield.

Your responsibility will be to look after the financial administration of schemes from both the client aspect and that of your own organisation.

You will also taking a very active role in front of clients leading project update meetings and providing two way feedback to the engineering team.

Qualifications/Skills Required

To be considered for this Project Manager role you should have a solid understanding of the construction industry and process. Ideally you will possibly working as a Project Manager at present or be a Quantity Surveyor looking to move to a role at the front end of schemes where you will also be involved in the strategy of a project.

It will also be useful if you are familiar with working within a consultancy, but this is not essential. Of far greater importance is your attitude, willingness to embrace ideas and ability to communicate with clients and other construction professionals.

Please note: Applications will not be considered from those candidates who are not entitled to work within the UK or the country of the advertised vacancy.
