This Company specialises in fixed-price design and build and two stage tender contracts throughout the United Kingdom. Projects include high-rise residential, commercial and mixed use schemes for new and repeat clients including most national house builders.
A special feature of the company is the extent of their in-house capability. This includes a plant fleet of 400 excavators, dump trucks, telehandlers, concrete pumps and associated machinery based out of 9 nationwide depots. They have three factories producing joinery, architectural metal work and prefabricated bathrooms. Their large warehouse and fleet of delivery vehicles makes 'just in time delivery' to the construction sites an everyday reality. Their teams of dedicated managers and professionals, together with their experienced foremen, supervisors and skilled craftsmen, keep it all running smoothly. This in-house capability allows them to minimise sub-contracting and closely control safety, quality, program and costs.
This client is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to work on a major high rise mixed use project in Leeds, which will consist of a 22 storey tower and a 14 storey Hotel. The project is due for completion at the end of 2009.
The Project Manager will have responsibility for the full delivery of the project on time and to budget, with the support of a large team of onsite staff, including Site Managers and Design Manager.
Qualifications/Skills Required
This role requires an exceptional Project Manager with a long work history of projects in excess of 20Million. Previous experience and extensive knowledge of RC frame construction techniques is essential.
