They are involved with challenging and complex projects in the residential, retail, office, health, education, defence and secure sectors, working under a variety of procurement routes, including design and build contracts and partnering.

An experienced Project Manager is required to undertake the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful Contractor on projects in excess of £15 million in this phase of the scheme.

As Project Manager, you will initially be tasked with the redevelopment of new teaching accommodation, a new build sports hall, new vehicular and pedestrian access, car parking, cycle parking, playing fields and hard and soft landscaping.

To undertake this project successfully, you will be working on a mixture of new build, alterations, refurbishment, repair and demolition schemes. As Project Manager you will have responsibility for the full delivery of the project on time and to budget. This post will provide you with the support of a large team of on-site staff, including Site Managers, Construction Managers and Design Managers.

Qualifications/Skills Required

This organisation seeks an individual who has worked on education projects in excess of £8 million. Applicants must have a solid work history with extensive employment periods under large main contracting organisations.

Applicants will preferably be degree or HNC/D qualified in a construction discipline and hold all relevant Project Management site certificates. In return, the successful candidate will be given an excellent basic salary, plus market leading benefits.
