Job Description
Receive and progress through the tender stage, enquiries including assessing the project in its entirety for subsequent design and pricing.
Design remediation schemes, close liaison with the client, client representatives, and regulators.
Responsible for identifying suitably qualified, experienced and approved suppliers and sub-contractors, obtain the most cost effective rate for works during the initial tendering stage.
Submit proposal to client responding to any queries and generally ‘seeing the project through’ to either a successful order or, rejection.
Responsible for technical compliance and commercial performance of projects. Operational performance including health & safety is the responsibility of other managers but reporting to you on your projects.
Responsible for the commercial performance of projects. Responsible for ensuring the project is designed and carried out in accordance with all applicable environmental legislation.
Ensuring the company is represented professionally and competently at all times (either through the actions of you or your junior colleagues). Identifying, nurturing and developing long-term relationships with clients.
Together with other senior managers and directors of the company, develop and motivate junior staff as part of on-going training.
Keep abreast, explore & exploit of emerging remediation technologies and applicable legislation.
As a senior manager, the above responsibilities are not exhaustive and you are responsible for ensuring the company operates efficiently at all times and for exploring and exploiting all potential opportunities to further the development and profitability the company.
Qualifications/Skills Required
You will have a minimum two years experience in remediation contracting or 3 years in geo-environmental consultancy.
