Job Description
Receive and progress through the tender stage, enquiries received by the company. This includes assessing the appropriateness of the project , assessing the project in its entirety for subsequent design and pricing by you and or others.
Design remediation schemes based on the information provided. To include close liaison with the client, client representatives, and the regulators.
Responsible for identifying suitably qualified, experienced and approved suppliers and sub-contractors, and to obtain the most cost effective rate for such works during the initial tendering stage.
During the initial assessment and tendering stage, it is your responsibility to delegate or seek assistance from your colleagues to ensure you design the most appropriate (achievable and cost effective) proposal.
Submit your proposal to the client responding to any queries and generally ‘seeing the project through’ to either a successful order or, rejection.
You are responsible for the technical compliance and the commercial performance of your projects. Operational performance including health & safety is the responsibility of other managers but reporting to you on your projects.
You are responsible for the commercial performance of your projects. You are also responsible for ensuring the project is designed and carried out in accordance with all applicable environmental legislation.
Qualifications/Skills Required
You will have a minimum two years experience in remediation contracting or 3 years in geo-environmental consultancy.
