Job Description
An exciting opportunity exists within our client, an East London based local authority, for a Projects Assistant to assist with the identification, promotion, implementation and monitoring of environmental improvement projects.
The successful candidate will be working on two projects that seek to improve areas with a one-off solution that will reduce littering, flytipping and anti-social behaviour.
You must be an experienced Project Officer/Manager who has had previous experience of working within a local authority/public sector on environmental management, improvement or enforcement projects.
You will need excellent communications skills as you will be required to liaise with the public face to face as well as with other forms of communication.
The ability to understand and unravel complex information, including statutory regulations, and to communicate this information effectively verbally and in writing to Members, officers and the local community is essential.
This role also requires the candidate to visit and inspect sites and locations, and so a full, clean driving licence is mandatory, as well as the willingness to be flexible about the hours worked.
The Projects Assistant role is a temporary booking due to start as soon as possible, and will last 4 months. Only those candidates who meet with the required criteria and who can commit to the length of the project will be considered.
