Job Description

Our Client is a leading global pharmaceutical company looking for a high calibre Purchasing Manager, with at least 3 years experience, to head the procurement department at a major UK site.

The role is multi-faceted, the primary responsibilities being to:

-Take the lead on direct procurement
-Oversee local Strategic Procurement and assigned Global categories
-Manage key projects
-Visit suppliers to assess capabilities
-Analyse spend categories
-Create and execute source plans for specific areas of spend
-Source materials
-Manage supplier performance
-Support on global procurement initiatives
-Manage the supply chain

Ideally the client is looking for a focused, driven procurement professional with qualification to Degree level in any discipline. The remuneration package will be strong, reflecting the high quality of applicant required for this post
