Job Description

Quantity Surveyor
The primary focus of this multi-functional role will be surveying, with additional responsibility for estimating and procurement. You will;
This is seen as a pivotal role in the development and growth of the business, requiring an individual who thrives under pressure, can take considerable personal responsibility, operate and communicate effectively in a team, and who can effectively build relationships with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors alike. The successful candidate will not be 'just a QS' but will form an integral part of the project management team sharing the responsibility and rewards for delivering profitable projects.

Qualifications/Skills Required

Be from a Quantity Surveying background,
Have experience of medium/large sized specialist groundwork and enabling projects, with experience of remediation an advantage but not essential,
Prepare estimates from first principles by obtaining and analysing sub-contract, supplier and plant hire quotations,
Procure sub-contracts, materials and plant,
Provide a quantity surveying function on live contracts,
Be proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel, with knowledge of databases.
