This M & E Contractor based in Manchester has grown rapidly to become one of the market leaders in their discipline.

They now have over 100 employees, ranging from Design Engineers to experienced tradesmen who work throughout the UK and EU.

They work in every sector of building services including commercial, industrial, leisure, retail and education and have an enviable reputation within the marketplace.

This leading building services contractor is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to become part of the commercial team at their head office in Manchester.

Your duties will include liaising with your commercial team and working alongside Estimators, Buyers and your Commercial Manager.

You will be responsible for looking after several projects at any one time and making sure that, from initial conception through to completion, every aspect is carried out thoroughly to ensure the project finishes on time and on budget.

You will be dealing with sub contractors from all sectors of the construction industry and will be expected to ensure the smooth completion and final settlement of all accounts on your projects.

Qualifications/Skills Required

Applications are welcomed from candidates who have experience in a building services contractor. Ideally, you will be working for an M & E Contractor at the moment, but this is not essential as previous experience will be taken into consideration.

You should have a good financial acumen and be skilled in the art of negotiation, as well as being knowledgeable of contract law.

Ideally you will be educated to degree standard, but this is not essential as experience will be taken into consideration.
