Established in 1959, this client has organically and by acquisition grown to become a major multi-disciplinary consultancy with an enviable portfolio of projects and a number of industry awards.
With 32 offices nationwide, a presence on numerous client sites and over 2000 staff they are in every part of the country, each office having a distinct culture, but sharing the corporate values of excellence, innovation and developing a sustainable operation. Each office undertakes a broad portfolio of projects, while corporately the ratio between public and private sector work is 50:50. The strategy is to secure a larger percentage of the high profile, public funded works which are being planned and awarded over the next five years while developing their already excellent relationships with private clients.
Their culture has changed in recent years, there is a new vibrancy and confidence to the company which is reflected in the offices. While the buildings may be traditional, inside they are well equipped, comfortable and within close proximity to city centres and transport links.
A number of Rail Surveyors are required to work as part of a 3-man survey team responsible for surveying track and structures within the LNE territory. The work will be located throughout the LNE territory but north of Birmingham. Depending on your experience, you will be either leading the team or acting as the on site assistant. The contract is initially offered on a 6 month basis but there is potential of a permanent position being offered after this time.
Qualifications/Skills Required
A Rail Surveyor you will have experience of surveying using a range of methods including; Hallade, Theodolite Straight, Levelling and Gauging. You will need to be PTS qualified and COSS/ES would be an advantage. You will need to be prepared to work unsociable hours as the work will involve night and weekend hours - on average 4-6 nights per week. A Driving Licence is also essential to the role.
