The Job
Firstly, there’s no cold-calling and no administration. You’ll spend most of your time either working with a specific candidate, or searching for a candidate to work. Most of the work is via phone and email. We’re placing people into Permanent roles. You’ll spend time understanding & matching both client & candidate needs, business issues and personalities. Recruitment-to-Recruitment has been described as ‘pure’ recruitment; it’s not about word matching, it’s largely down to your assessment of the characters concerned and how you handle each case.
It’s not a cushy job, you’ll need to put in the hours, but that’s just the nature if the job.
You
We’ve an ambitious business plan – we expect to achieve 1,000% growth within 2 years. Seriously. To do that we need people at all levels, including Team Leaders, Account Managers & Consultants. We know that good Recruiters have one main attribute in common: the right attitude. So while we’d favour people with current Recruitment experience, from any sector, we’ll also consider Trainees who can demonstrate they’re made of the right stuff.
Along with the right attitude, you’ll need excellent listening skills, you’ll have a consultative, inquisitive approach – thorough to the point of nosiness. And, obviously, a real sense of humour.
The Deal
The rewards are amazing, commission is totally uncapped. If you can’t earn £35,000 + + it’s ‘adios amigo’. In fact, our top people are earning £80,000 +.
Base salaries range from £18,000 - £30,000.
The Commission scheme is legendary – no threshold (you’ll earn for everything you do from day one), and accelerating to 50% of your billings. On average, if you placed 6 people a month you’d earn over £65,000 in commission alone
You’ll also have the chance to earn a car allowance of £5,000
But of course it’s not all about money. A Healthy Work / Life balance is crucial. We appreciate the pressures of the job so we offer things like fresh fruit, neck & shoulder massages, half day Fridays, late morning Mondays. We socialise a fair bit, from beer & curry, to the latest shows, films & sporting action, there’s exotic trips, such as Hawaii, Iceland, Zermatt, Bognor Regis, (don’t knock it!). The MD even invites us all over for a bbq, a dip in the pool, a game of tennis & a pimms.
Training & Tools for the job
We don’t expect you do it without help. You’ll work on a ‘hot desk’ with Live Vacancies & Live Candidates. The database has access to around 50,000 contacts, so you’ll never be bored. The IT systems are so sophisticated they prompt the right questions (but don’t force the answers). The Support function is so comprehensive you’ll never have to do any administration; that’s no CV typing, no credit control, no reports to complete, just stick to what you do best. You’ll also receive ongoing, professional training, including 1:1 sessions with Recruitment Industry Gurus. In fact, everyone who joins, regardless of experience needs to complete a thorough induction program, as, quite simply, Morgan Bentley does things differently !

With mega growth planned we MUST have people equally ambitious; people prepared to take on responsibility and make a real impact. All current managers have been developed from internal promotion. From Senior Consultants who mentor & offer some support, to Director level, devising & implementing new strategies that influence the whole company direction.
