Job Description
My client a £95 million turnover IT recruitment agency require a regional manager for their north west operation based Manchester.
Job Purpose
o To be responsible for the day to day activity and performance of the northern contract sales team.
o To achieve personal and team annual sales quota and other targets and performance levels set and agreed with the Sales Director.
o To canvass, as required, companies within the sales territory which have been identified as possible users of contract staff with a view to placing contractors in available positions.
o To provide training, supervision and leadership to the northern contract sales team.
Principal Accountabilities
o To manage the day to day sales activity within the northern contract sales team to achieve agreed targets relating specifically to sales and staffing
o To guide and support the northern contract sales team, to aid the achievement of personal and team objectives.
o To ensure that all team members (Sales Consultants and Sales Researchers) canvass on a daily basis, companies and/or contractors within their vertical market space, seeking out new business and/or sales information/sales leads. This will be within the method of approach as detailed in Company Rules of Engagement.
o To assist the Bid Manager where required, in the process of responding to ITTs received from companies within the allocated sales territory.
o To carry out sales presentations and client visits as appropriate encourage and develop close and beneficial relationships with the permanent business in the north.
o To be involved in the recruitment of Sales Consultants and Sales Researchers as and when required
o To provide Management Information in an appropriate format and within set timescales
Planning
o Setting daily/weekly/monthly objectives for Sales Consultants and Sales Researchers
o Weekly activity reports for the National Sales Director
o Visiting clients as required
o Making sales calls as required
o Making placements as required
o Complete a monthly business report and forecast for the National Sales Director
Supervision of People
o Daily supervision of the northern contract sales team
o Identify the training and development needs of assigned staff
o Perform monthly business reviews with assigned staff
o Provide forecast figures for National Sales Director
o Provide on-the-job training in order to develop assigned staff as appropriate.

Knowledge Skills & Experience Required
o Excellent communication skills at all levels
o Proven sales record
o Good Man-Management ability
o Strong understanding of recruitment process
o Good understanding of the Microsoft tools
o Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels
o Good presentation skills
o Thorough understanding of the Company Management system
o A good understanding of Eureka
Basic will be inline with experience with an overall package in excess of £100,000
