Job Description
Responsibilities
* Conceptualising characters, vehicles, weaponry, levels and working through from thumbnail to realistic high quality finished rendering for print, as a modelling template or as a start point for level designers.
* Applying a consistent "look and feel" to all concept work to create a thoroughly stimulating environment.
* Working closely with the Producer, Lead Artist and Production Team to realise the art style.
* Estimating and maintaining timescales and deliverables.
* Ensuring timely delivery and quality of work assigned on schedule.
Qualifications/Skills Required
Requirements
* Excellent drawing skill and a knowledge of anatomy, perspective, composition, framing, layout, colour, rendering.
* Ability to deliver thumbnails and ideas quickly before finishing approved concepts to a high standard.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Strong communication skills and comfortable with taking direction/constructive criticism.
* Working knowledge of Photoshop/Painter although training will be provided.
Desirable
* Published and well received game title on PC or console or concept work for broadcast media or movies.
* 3rd level qualification in a related discipline
* Any set or level design experience.
* Working knowledge of mechanical/industrial design.
* Experience in 3D package such as 3D Studio Max or Maya.
