Excellent opportunity to join one of the leading bridge engineering teams in the North East. Working in support of the relevant scheme project manager you will help co-ordinate and manage certain elements of projects throughout the various stages of the design cycle. This will involve managing a small team of Engineers and Technicians to ensure programme delivery within budgetary constraints.

You can expect to be integrating with other disciplines across the business as well as site managers and other third parties including your clients.

The role will require you to assist in estimating, cost reporting project forecasting as well as the tendering process for new work.

Qualifications/Skills Required

The successful candidate for this role will be a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with experience in the delivery of Highways Agency or local authority projects.

You will have a good knowledge of current HA standards, policies and processes, including the DMRB and previous experience in the design, assessment and inspection of bridge structures.

You will need to have gained experience in structural analysis and modelling and the use of bridge design software and you will be confident in your ability to produce practical solutions to design problems.

It is essential that you have good communication and personnel management skills and the ability to work to deadlines and organise a busy works programme.

Ideally you will have experience of Design and Build type projects with contractor clients and experience in project and budget management.

Minerva Appointments is committed to equality in the marketplace and acts as both an employment agency and employment business.

Please note: Applications will not be considered from those candidates who are not entitled to work within the UK or the country of the advertised vacancy.
