Job Description
Our client is looking for a skilled senior buyer to join the department and ensure that equipment and material requirements are met on a daily basis.
The core accountabilites are:
-to maintain and monitor existing purchasing plans
-to develop and implement effective tendering processes
-direct and supervise junior colleagues
-oversee the monitoring of contracts and agreements
-ensure working relationships with suppliers run smoothly
Essential skills for this role are:
-'A' level education
-experience of managing a team within a purchasing environment
-excellent communication skils
-understanding of how to develop a high quality customer service
-experience of working with managers to assess and influence their purchasing requirements
