Job Description
MSB Supply Chain a specialist purchasing and supply chain recruitment company has a position for a Senior Buyer with their client that is going through exciting times.
The post-holder will provide full procurement responsibility for a series of direct vendors. You will be responsible for all aspects of stock management for our storage and security distribution business partners, as well as close liaison between sales and technical staff. You will be expected to work to tight deadlines in a high pressure industry and be capable of shouldering considerable responsibility. The purchasing team handles procurement and stock management of hardware and software from the likes of IBM, HP, SUN, STK, JUNIPER, NORTEL amongst others in excess of £150M per year.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITES
Close liaison with members of the sales teams in order to forecast stock and maximise availability
Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with our direct vendors
Implementing and maintaining systems as required to ensure that all processes run smoothly
PERSON SPECIFICATION
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and experience:
Honest, hardworking, self motivated, reliable and diligent
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external contacts at all levels
Able to work as part of a team or on their own initiative
Literate, numerate and confident in Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office Tools
