Job Description

Our client, a respected manufacturer, is looking for a high calibre senior buyer to come into the purchasing division and take responsibility for the full lifecycle of component purchasing.

The senior buyer will also prepare budgets and forecasts of expenditure requirements, employ their expertise on issues regarding supplier development and availability, and ensure that long term and progressive supplier agreements and relationships are developed.

The position will require the incumbent to be informed of emerging technologies and developments, to be achieved through continuous research, with the aim of reaching consensus with other internal divisions.

The ideal candidate will have purchasing experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment, and have a qualification in either business or engineering. CIPS is also desirable.
