Job Description

The Senior Buyer will provide a comprehensive procurement service to support a major rail project team in the development and delivery of the project works programme. The Senior Buyer will be responsible for preparation of tender and contract documentation and for programming, implementing and managing the procurement and tendering process within the Trent Valley 4 Tracking project team.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with a minimum of five years experience in buying/procurement activities in a construction environment. He / she will have a sound understanding of corporate governance principles as well as knowledge of contracting principles and tendering processes and procedures. Preference will be given to individuals with previous rail project experience.
