Our client is part of one of the UK’s top banking organisations and with in excess of 150 years lending experience, is a recognised force in the domestic market.
As part of their expansion, they have a vacancy for a Senior Credit Model Analyst to join their acclaimed Risk Management department in Wolverhampton.
The Role
• To undertake the development and deployment of credit models applying logistic regression, linear regression, neural network, decision trees, discriminant analysis and forecasting methods such as ARIMA or Garch, in support of Credit Strategy to agreed standards and timescales
• To build and implement application and behavioural models for Secured Specialist Credit Risk in support of risk and customer management strategies / reporting to agreed standards and timescales and working with the Central Scoring team in the Retail Bank and 3rd party vendors as required
• To undertake statistical integrity checks once the models have been put live, making sound recommendations for re-development/realignments as required
• Audit and critically assess the development of application and behavioural models that have been developed for Secured Credit Risk by 3rd party vendors including the Central Scoring Team in the Retail Bank
The successful candidate will have;
• A first class degree qualification – preferably with a Statistics discipline
• A post graduate qualification in a Statistics or Economics discipline would be advantageous
• 2 years SAS programming experience with; Base SAS, SAS Macro, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS stat and SAS ETS
• Experience of building score based models and must also be familiar with their application throughout the customer life cycle
• 2 years employment within the Financial Services sector will be expected
In return you will be offered a basic salary of £30,000 - £35,000 plus bonus (up to 20%), pension, shares, private healthcare and excellent long-term career opportunities.
