A Senior Development Planner is required to join a team of 11 Engineers, Scientists and Consultants. The principle responsibilities of the role will include:
- Preparation of minerals and waste related planning applications relating to construction and demolition of waste recycling facilities, composting facilities, WEEE facilities, end of vehicle life facilities, landfill sites, sand and gravel pits and clay and hardrock quarries.
- Preparation of applications for variations to planning conditions and submission of reserved matters
- Preparation of EIA's including screening and scoping requests
- Liaison with LA's, key stakeholders, clients and their professional advisors
- Business development including assistance with tender bids, marketing and client relationship management
- Management of junior planning staff
Qualifications/Skills Required
To apply for the position of Senior Development Planner you should have extensive experience in waste and minerals planning related matters (planning applications and public enquiries / appeals). You should also have experience in preparing / determining applications, appeal work and policy development. You should have a comprehensive understanding of planning legislation, frameworks and procedures as well as experience of management of staff, business, financial and performance systems.
