Job Description

An international, award-winning multi-disciplinary consultancy, with a reputation for quality, innovation and sustainability, and the capability to deliver a comprehensive range of building, transportation and environmental consulting services are seeking a Senior Ecologist for their South East offices.

The candidate should have some or all of the following key skills and experience:

Terrestrial and or aquatic ecology, Phase 1 and 2 habitat survey, holds or able to hold protected species licence(s), survey of vascular and lower plants, invertebrates, herpetofauna, birds and mammals, a demonstrable ability to write and project manage surveys and reports and a comprehensive understanding of wildlife legislation and other relevant legislation and regulations, public inquiry, monitoring, translocation, habitat management, restoration and creation, business development and marketing.

Extensive travel within the UK and abroad and overnight stays will be required.

Qualifications/Skills Required

- 4 to 7 years experience as a practicing ecologist
- Relevant graduate degree
- Full member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management
- A postgraduate qualification and consultancy experience would be an advantage.
